Our story begins over half a century ago in the rich soils of Aherla, Co. Cork. Founded by Des Nangle and Matthew Niesen Snr on an initial 54 acres, our journey started with a focus on roses and fruit trees. However, the vision was always bigger. By the late 1970s, we shifted our focus to what we do best: producing premium field-grown trees for the Irish landscape.

A Legacy of Iconic Landscapes

As Ireland grew, so did we. The mid-90s marked an era of explosion for Irish landscaping, and Nangle & Niesen was there to supply the greenery for the country's most ambitious projects. We are proud to have shaped the skylines of:

• Prestigious Golf Courses: The K Club, Mount Juliet, Fota Island, and The Heritage.

• Private Estates: From Coolmore Stud to the private gardens of global icons like U2, Chris De Burgh, and Angela Lansbury.

• Public Treasures: Supplying trees for President Mary Robinson and historical sites across the nation.

Growth & Innovation

In 2001, driven by increasing demand for mature instant trees, we expanded our footprint by another 50 acres and modernized our infrastructure. This era saw the rise of the second generation, with Ronan Nangle and Matthew Niesen Jnr bringing fresh energy to the business.

Today, under the sole leadership of Ronan Nangle, we honor our Dutch-Irish origins by combining traditional plantsmanship with advanced technological production methods. We are not just growing trees; we are growing a legacy. We remain as dedicated to excellence today as we were in 1973, serving a diverse clientele from landscape architects and commercial developers to community schemes and private garden designers.
